Family Style 2.0
Author: Jon Gaffney (aka epstein; tseulik@gmail.com)
Release Date: 3/3/2009

Family Style is a bucket of 9 golden-fried maps designed for Aleph One EMFH and KOTH. You are free to distribute or modify them as much as you want, as long as you give me credit for creating the original levels.

Levels included:

1. Octopus Soliloquy

This is a very large level, made for the Dec. 2008 map contest that never was. It is a return to old-skool mapping, made completely on-grid and with only the water texture set.

2. Residue Theorem

A very large map, made for the Dec. 2007 map contest and retextured in 2009 for release in Family Style 2.0. It's open, with a good horizontal/vertical balance and flow.

3. Percolate

A newer map, designed in 2007 and slightly remodeled in 2009 for release in Family Style 2.0. It is a medium-large (4-6 player) vertical map with three rooms.

4. Leftover Chitlins (Shotgun Version)

Originally made in 2006; retooled in 2007 for Family Style 1.0. It is a small, fast-flowing and high-carnage map that features the shotgun and flamethrower.

5. Lack of Vision

A 2003 map, slightly remodeled for Family Style 1. It's small and dark but lots of rapid excitement for KOTH. There are two teleporters that bring you close to the hill, so it's easy to sneak up on whoever's there and keep the carnage pumping.

6. Little Red Pill

This is a medium-small and very open horizontal level with a wide variety of weapons. Originally made for a 2006 mapping contest; retooled in 2007, and given a hill.

7. C.T.F.Y.

An older map, originally made in 2003 and remade in 2007 for Family Style 1. It is a medium-sized pfhor-textured arena with no shotguns. Can be played either KOTH or EMFH.

8. Misdirected Affection

A tiny (one-room, 2 player) map. Meant for rapid-carnage dueling, and you'll see appropriate weapons (AR, Shotgun, SPNKR, and Alien Gun). KOTH is available, but not recommended.

9. Bananas For Free

Heh heh heh...

Please forgive the terminals. I had intended on putting commentary in them but it's honestly not worth it. I doubt there will be any future releases unless there are huge bugs I've missed.

Enjoy!
